I opened my e-mail to find a wonderful letter from "The Universe" to kick off the game. It is amazing how I felt just reading it....

Dear Mary Today's deposit:
_______________________________________
Amount: $1000 - One Thousand Dollars
Deposited into: Your Account
From: The Bank of the Universe

Dear Beloved One, Since you are so loved and cherished, we, at the Bank of the Universe have decided to deposit money into your account for the rest of your life.
This is not a loan and we do not expect this money to be paid back - it is our gift to you, just for being you! All we ask, is that as you go through your day, you look for ways to spend this money that will give you joy. You may use this money in any way you desire.
It is preferable that you SPEND the money, rather than saving it for later, as we will continue to send you more and more money each week. It is also preferable that you spend this money on yourself.
Well, it came late on Monday, so I didn't get a chance to spend it. Then Tuesday came and went - and I had forgotten about it. Well... today's deposit came, with a much shorter note.

Lovely..... more money to enjoy.
I'm off to spend my money! I am excited to find new ways to spoil myself.
I have gotten hubby involved in the game, in a secret kind of way. I ask him to play "Wouldn't it be nice if..." to get him thinking more of prosperity instead of his usual doubt. Hoping that can get him pushed in the right direction - maybe a little excitement with spending money will get it moving.
I did have a revelation yesterday... Almost like a smack upside the head and someone talking directly to me yesterday. If *I* want this prosperity... If *I* want the lottery winnings or what have you... Then *I* need to be the one buying the tickets.
Off to spend my $3000... back with a report shortly.

Idea
I don't know if there is a way to upload video to Blogger, but I had an idea to compliment my "Prosperity Game" fun. I am downloading Windows Movie Maker (because Win7 doesn't come with it, unlike every one before it) and I will put pics, day by day, of what I've purchased. Then, over the month, I can see what I've bought and work on a rampage of appreciation as well as relive the fun I had while shopping.
Every month gets a new video.
Another exciting bit of fun.

Excited
It really is strange how this "game" has excited me. Changed my thoughts from "wow, that's a lot" to " WOW, that's all??"
The local Community College is where my HS Senior expects to attend classes the next 2 years. I had been stressing about paying that a short time ago, because I know my ex husband will not be bothered to contribute. But my new attitude (and the prosperity game) took me to their site - and it looks like 2 semesters of tuition is ONLY $1680! I can pay for the whole 48 credit hours - 2 years - and it will cost less than $3500. That is NOTHING. We can easily afford that. I'm so happy to do the math and find how little it will cost me!
I just spent the better part of 2 hours planning an awesome birthday/anniversary trip for my husband in October to Las Vegas. I was amazed to find that a junior suite at The Signature @ MGM along with flights and a rental is less than $1300. I'm off to go look at shows, etc to further plan the trip. Before I would have been looking at prices first, but this time I looked at customer satisfaction and luxury feel look first. Pretty exciting to be planning this trip. So far I've planned a $1300 weekend getaway to Cali and a $1300 weekend getaway to Vegas for us. Hmm... coincidence? Or the Universe taking a moment to acknowledge that I'm headed the right way. Either way - I'm excited at the possibilites that await.
Attitudes changing... more excitement on the way. And I'm only on day 2 of the game!

Prosperity Day 2
Wow... I never realized how much fun it can be to go shopping and not look at price tags. Today I spent my $1000 universe cash at Macy's and on a trip to Chicago for this weekend.
At Macy's I bought a blue/black pair of "Not my daughter's jeans" that are absolutely gorgeous. They fit so well and the tummy panel is great. To go with it I got a soft and comfy cowl neck sweater, actually 2 of them - one in red and one in purple. The reviewers all said it was a warm and cozy kind of sweater and boy were they right. I really like them, and they look great paired with the new jeans. While I was there I bought a Coach purse. Yeah, I don't usually go for purses, but I figure the new look will go great with a new black purse. Its gonna be a little rough to get used to carrying a purse again, but then I don't have keys and a phone, etc in my pocket while we walk around Chicago this weekend. I only spent $365 at Macy's.
I reserved tickets at the Museum of Science and Industry for an Omnimax movie I think the kids will like, and paired with the admission tickets it was only $150. Considering the new "Toys" exhibit coming this weekend and the other things the kids will like - its well worth it. They'll be so excited. Also booked a hotel for this weekend, so we don't miss anything up there. I mean why drive home each day? A nice 5 star hotel in the loop. Maybe I can sneak some shopping in on Michigan Avenue while we're there. Found a great restaurant I want to try too - Big Bowl. The video looks great and so to the reviews.
The balance of today's Unverse Cash I am giving to Jesse to pick up random items for dinner so that I can cook on the fly. It was so much fun to do that last night - why not try again.
I have also planned a weekend getaway for next weekend for Jesse and I. Haven't paid for it yet but no worries. Flight leaves for Santa Ana at 6pm. We're staying at Marriot Laguna Cliffs Resort in their nicest Costal View Room. The view of the ocean will be wonderful compared to the view of the SNOW here. I also reserved an SUV for the trips into the mountains. All that is only $1300... I can't wait. I will make sure to go to the Korean BBQ, and maybe the Brazilian BBQ while we're there.
I can't wait to see what I find to buy tomorrow.

Starting Over
Christmas has come and gone, and while it wasn't exactly the way I wanted it - it was still pretty good. Kids were happy. In essence, my manifesting came through - it just ended up with some financial problems after due to my husband paying some of this mother's bills.
But that is nether here or there... Its 2010. A New year and a new start to the experiment. I'm starting a "Prosperity Game" of sorts... the official one starts Monday and 3 days a week you get a "check" from the universe in your e-mail to spend. Theoretically you are to spend it that day, at least spend it before you get the next one. I was reading some people's comments on their game on a message board and it got me excited to shop (very weird for me...lol) so I decided to start practicing early. I am only doing $1000 a day until Monday, but it is proving both fun and difficult. I didn't even manage to spend all of it yesterday. I've given myself the rule that it can not be spent on bills, but to relieve my mind I did "pay" my phone bill out of it. Not sure where else the $500 ::gasp:: will come from except the universe.
So here starts the prosperity game and the evidence of manifestations.
Yesterday I bought the cutest coat at Carson. An Anne Klein coat in a light brown with a nice faux fur accent on the hood. I also picked up some things from Top Chef, like the cookbooks and some knives. Pretty cool. Got Michael the "Culinary Boner" shirt he had been wanting as well. Then I got an American Girl doll and accessories for AnneMarie. Carl keeps telling her he'll buy them, so it felt awesome to just write the check and get them for her. Can't wait to put them in her new room. Should probably get a shelf or bookcase for her to put them on. Will have to look for one today. And then the balance of the money went to pay my cell phone bill. I'm so amazed that I went through that many minutes - but it makes me happy to think that I had that many to talk to last month. :)
My $1000 deposit is here, so I will go shopping and then report back.
Happy Manifesting
