Something different

Recently in my manifesting journey I read about Abraham-Hicks and the 17 seconds.  The basics behind it is to concentrate thoughts on a solitary thing, with no counter-thoughts, for 17 seconds.  Seems pretty simple, right?  It really does take concentration.  It isn't easy to keep those "but..." thoughts out.

I thought I would test it the other day, so I set myself somewhere quiet and thought of simple things.  One was about getting the brakes on my van done somehow, one was about seeing my own income coming in, and one was about losing some weight.  Nothing fancy, or so I thought.

The next day, I had no appetite.  When I got hungry, I was craving veggies, not junk.  I only had 1 can of Mountain Dew that day (usually its 5-6 per day).  I didn't think about it, really, until someone else pointed out my new "heathy kick."  It has continued for the past 3 - 4 days and I hope it keeps up.

Today my husband was home and a man came to ask about his truck.  I thought nothing of it until he told me that the man is a mechanic and they discussed a trade - the brakes on my van for the truck.  Since the truck hasn't been used in probably close to a year, it isn't any loss to us.  That's when it hit me that my latest 17 second tests had been at work.

Good things are coming... and I can't wait to write all about it.

More things coming

Well,  in alignment with my experiment to manifest my own income, I have just been offered an opportunity to work with a friend through her site.  I have helped her in the past with copywriting and editing for her sites, and now she has offered the chance to promote that service to her customers.  The best part is... I will be working as an independent contractor through their site, so I don't have to struggle to get the customers or anything else.  They are doing the work, PLUS the service will be included in some of their web design packages.  She has 4 websites that she is working on right now, and told me that as soon as they approve the additional charges she will send me the work.

Little by little I see things coming through.  I also see little roadblocks that are attempting to get in the way of my focus, but I am doing my best to push them aside and not let them get to me.  It seems that with each "distraction" something good shows up, so I welcome them now.

While I haven't seen any money quite yet, I know that good things are coming.

Happy Manifesting.

A few days in...

I've been focusing on my goal for a few days now, especially the feelings.  Yesterday I even wrote a "blog" entry in present tense about how nice it is to have my own money coming in, and spending it to spoil the kids for Christmas.

I am seeing some odd things coming up.  While going through the kids backpacks I found a letter asking for donations for the silent auction at the school.  And my daughter's Jobies group is having a silent auction at their Spaghetti Dinner in a few weeks.  I know just what I want to put in the baskets for both of the events already, and just need the funds to purchase the items.

So things are happening... and its only been a few days.
